Cooper Lower is a Naarm/Melbourne-based folk artist. Carrying the flame of influences such as Hozier, Laura Marling, Novo Amor and Damien Rice, Lower's cinematic folk goes straight for the heart.
Cooper's songs and stories have captivated audiences throughout the world, including renowned stages such as Queenscliff Music Festival, Tollwood Winterfestival (DE), Port Fairy Folk Festival, Melbourne International Guitar Night and Fretmonkey Records Guitarist Showcase (NY). After being named a finalist for Folk Alliance’s Youth Artist of the Year and releasing his debut EP Conversations in 2024, he continues to emerge as one of Australia’s most enchanting new voices.
A multi-disciplinary artist, Cooper also works extensively as a songwriter, producer and music director. He has recently co-written with Ainslie Wills, Riley Pearce, MOZË, Flynn Gurry, Eliza Hull, Fran Lusty (UK), and in 2025, he wrote the soundtrack for #1 Netflix feature Misie alongside renowned Polish composer Kris Gorski.
